Citylights

During my time as a video design student, I developed a profound interest in the broader fields of design and art. This passion led me to frequently join a friend in their Fine Art classes, culminating in my enrollment in a Fine Art course during my final semester. My video (animation) work significantly influenced this exploration.

My graduation project, the animation "Citylights," powerfully depicts the theme of loneliness amidst a vibrant urban landscape, experienced through the nocturnal wanderings of a cat. Driven by a particular fondness for painting at the time, I meticulously crafted this animation in a painterly style using Photoshop, further refining it with After Effects. The process was intensely labor-intensive, requiring individual drawing for each frame (24 frames per second), which is precisely why it remains such a cherished piece for me.

Klea - Tic Tok M/V (8-bit)

"Klea - Tic Tok M/V (8-bit)" is an 8-bit animation that served as a personal passion project, directly inspired by one of my favorite songs at the time. As one might anticipate, the creation of this dot animation involved the meticulous, frame-by-frame placement of individual pixels. While exceptionally labor-intensive, the process proved to be both highly enjoyable and yielded a visually fascinating outcome.

Waterhouse! (Vaporwave)

I produced a Vaporwave-style video that uniquely articulated my creative vision and inspirations from that period. This project stands as a compelling example of my ability to fuse classical art aesthetics with contemporary digital video techniques.
